FAQ-Pellet Mill

  •  What are the main equipments used in wood pellet line?
      Hammer mill, Cyclone, Dryer, Pellet mill, and Pellet cooler.
  •  Can I press different materials with the same pellet mills?
       Yes, you can press different materials (which contain certain lingin)with the same pellet mills, and you just need adjust the space between the roller and die well to suit various materials. Usually it needs many times of test and experiences to get a final good pellets.
  • How many pellets can I get at one time from the pellet mills?
       Actually it depends on your materials. The capacity will be different for various materials.
    And usually it has two classes: grains and wood. And the pellets from wood is 40% of that from
    grains at most.
  • What holds the pellets together?
    When the materials are pressed in the pellet mill, the pressure and temperature caused by milling 
    make the lignin in the material more active to make the pellets together. If your material contain
    little or no lignin, you can add some adhesives, such as flour or grass meal.
  • What is the size of a finished pellet?
       The final pellets are cylinders. They are with various diameters 2.5mm, 3mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, or 10mm according the requests of different clients, and with alternative lengthes by the cutter
    The machine itself takes. The usual length of the pellets is 2-4cm. 
  • What kinds of power do I need to run the pellet mills?
       Usually the motors we supplied matched with our pellet mills are used in the power 380v, 50hz, 3 phases. And if clients have different requests in the local place,we will quote them the mills with special motor.
